A useful visa enquiry begins with the traveller's circumstances. Two people visiting the same country may need different application routes, so the destination name alone is not enough to establish what to do next.
Explain who is travelling and why
Provide passport nationality, country of residence, destination, intended date and purpose of travel. Say whether the journey includes transit through another country or several destinations. A family visit, holiday, business meeting or longer stay should not be treated as interchangeable. These details help identify which official guidance needs to be consulted.
Use the relevant official instructions
Follow the immigration authority, embassy, consulate or application channel designated for your circumstances. Check whether instructions apply to your passport and where you live, rather than copying a checklist from someone else's trip. An application-service website should be used only when its role is confirmed by the responsible authority.
Keep the travel plan internally consistent
Review the dates and destinations in your proposed itinerary and supporting arrangements. If the official checklist asks for reservations or insurance evidence, confirm what is required before buying or submitting anything. Do not assume that every destination asks for the same documents or that an agent can replace the authority's decision.
Allow for unanswered questions
An appointment, an estimated processing period and a decision are different stages. Where the official information is unclear, identify the question and seek clarification. Sunward's country pages show their review status; an unresolved notice should prompt an official check, not be read as confirmation that a particular rule applies.
Start with an enquiry, not document uploads
The initial Sunward form asks for planning details so the team can discuss assistance. Do not put passport scans, financial documents or medical records into the first message. Ask what information is needed next and how it should be supplied. Application approval, entry and processing times remain decisions of the responsible authorities.

IATA's Travel Centre covers passport, visa and health requirement information. Country-specific rules and application decisions must be confirmed with the relevant official authority. Read the source guidance. Source checked 13 October 2026.
