Choosing an outbound holiday from Kenya

The right holiday is the one that fits your time, interests and travel arrangements. Start with the experience you want, then compare the route and proposed services before treating a package name as a complete plan.

Choose the pace before the destination list

Decide how much of the trip you want to spend exploring and how much you want to leave unplanned. A short city break, a beach stay and a multi-city journey use time differently. Count the travel days as part of the holiday and ask how long transfers take within the proposed itinerary. Fewer stops may make more sense than adding another destination to a limited window.

Compare the accommodation arrangements

Ask which accommodation is proposed, the room basis and occupancy, and which meals are included. If a holiday is an adaptable idea, the final hotels may only be selected during quotation. Share the ages of children and the room arrangement your family needs so the quote does not depend on assumptions about who shares.

Separate inclusions from choices

Identify the activities, admissions, transfers and meals expressly included in the quotation. Keep optional excursions and personal spending separate. Ask how much free time remains around scheduled activities and whether any experiences depend on operating days or supplier availability. A longer list of possible experiences does not mean they are all included.

Connect documents and travel services

Check travel-document requirements for the destination and transit route, using the authority that applies to your circumstances. Discuss flights, insurance enquiries and airport transfers alongside the holiday. If the dates depend on an application decision, explain that before choosing arrangements with restrictive terms.
