Amboseli – Home of Giants

Amboseli National Park in southern Kenya is famous for its elephants and the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Few sights compare to a herd of elephants marching against Africa’s tallest mountain.

Apart from elephants, Amboseli is home to lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, and over 400 bird species. The park’s open plains make wildlife spotting relatively easy. Photographers particularly love Amboseli for its dramatic scenery and golden sunsets.

Best time to visit: June to October and January to February for dry-season wildlife viewing.
